The extremely beautifully built Checkter knew to impress with the greatest of ease at the licensing in Vechta in 2015. At the jump he is distinguished with very good reflexes, a fast motion sequence combined with a perfect manner of jumping, being a worthy representative of his maternal line, which is also origin of our Check In.
His sire Cellestial was hard to beat in tests for young four to six-year old show jumpers. In 1999 and 2000 he placed in the finals of the Bundeschampionat as well as at the WC for young show jumpers. Then, under Heiko Schmidt, Andre Thieme and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/SWE Cellestial continued his career with jumping over international heights and was successful e.g. in Gran Prixs, Nations Cups and in the Sires of the World jumping competition in Lanaken/BEL. With Jan Peters he ranked eighth at the 2005 German championship for young riders. In 2006, Cellestial was proclaimed VTV Jumper Stallion of the Year. The offspring of Cellestial are certainly not less interesting as proven by the achievements of Chap I and Cassiopaia/Heiko Schmidt, Chessy/David Simpson/IRL, Cintia/Stein Endresen/NOR, Casting/Janne-Friederike Meyer and Cellestine/Hans-Thorben Rüder. Their winning sum will be soon half a million Euro. 20 of his sons are licensed so far, including the OS-reserve champion Chap I.
The elegant dam Ilonka (sport name: Lila) competed in the final of the 2005′ Bundeschampionat and, with Philipp Lever, she added many victories in advanced (S*) level show jumping to her performance record. She is also dam of our Check In, who became reserve main premium winner in 2007 and competes successfully with Gilbert Böckmann at CSI*** level.
The dam’s sire Lord Pezi has been stationed in Hamstrup all his life. Now, the OS-premium stallion and successful Bundeschampionat’s participant Lord Pezi Junior, one of his 18 licensed sons, breeds at our stud. The list of internationally highly successful sons and daughters of Lord Pezi is long: Louis/Annina Züger/SUI, Little Pezi/Amre Hamcho/SYR, Niagara/Mynou Diedrichsmeier, Luis/Jana Wargers, Pezi/Joana Schildknecht/SUI, Lord Spezi/Margie Goldstein-Engele/USA, Lord Larry/Louisa Müller, Lariccello/Helen McNaught/GBR or Londinium/Lillie Keenan/USA. In 2015 Leander and his rider Christian Ahlmann placed ninth at the WC for young show jumpers in Lanaken/BEL, the Lord Pezi-daughter Jacki Brown could place with the best in Lyon/FRA with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, while Lord Pepsi won a competition under Paul Estermann/SUI. In the meantime, more than 70 of his offspring are successful in advanced (S) level show jumping. The offspring’s life winning sum is more than 600,000 Euro.
The granddam Ila (sports name: i-Tüpfelchen) competed up to medium (M) level show jumping. The great granddam Gilana (sports name: Böckmann’s Lady Liberty) collected ribbons in the international jumping-course under Malin Baryard Johnsson/SWE. In breeding, Gilana produced the licensed stallion Caravazzo and the medium (M) level show jumper Chuck (both by Cordalmé Z) and Lordi (byLord Pezi).
Great grandsire Ile de Bourbon (sports name: Pro Prokopp) placed with the best under Gilbert Böckmann at the beginning of his sports career and then later under Thomas Frühmann/AUT in numerous international jumping competitions.
The performance record of Checkter’s dam line is impressive. This line is also known for the licensed stallions Corghano (by Cordalmé Z), First Gotthard, Firth of Lorne, Fürstengold, Fürstenstolz, Granit, Ingold, Polygraf, Rincon Furioso, Rufurstinels, Weißdorn and Kasimir van Schuttershof/Philippe Lejeune/BEL as well as the top horses Gitena, Luis, Panama, Quattrina and Sissi van Schuttershof.
