Equestrian clinic

The internationally renowned Horse Clinic De Watermolen (‘The Watermill’) was founded by veterinarian Jan Greve in 1982, who from that time on was the team vet for the Dutch eventing team for more than 12 years. He was the team vet for the ‘gold’ jumping team at the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992 and the Dutch youth equipes for both jumping and dressage. In the last few years he is in this position for the the dressage horses of the top riders in Holland.

In 1999, Jan Greve associated with veterinarian Arie Hoogendoorn, who in 1996 graduated at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht and had been working for De Watermolen since May of that year . In January 2011 he was appointed as the team vet of the Dutch show jumpers.

The team at De Watermolen has expanded over the years. Addition to the team are the veterinarians Vic van Loon, Carmen Scheffer, Kiki Mijs and Charlotte de Lege

The veterinarians at the clinic are aided by assistants and veterinarians who are in training.

People from all over Europe come to Equestrian Clinic De Watermolen for a variety of acts on their horses: tests, surgery, mare counseling, tendon injuries, lameness examinations, etc.
